Hackintosh

Too much time to get a system that works but you can’t use Apple services which are most of the MacOS experience. Nor can you use the App Store so you can’t install applications unless the applications themselves have a website that lets you download the app without an Apple ID.

Waste of time.

Can’t adjust font size for 1080p screens. Window management is trash. To do anything on MacOS is a slow experience.

I used to think Gentoo was a time sink, but getting a Hackintosh to work, is a much larger time sink for much less of a benefit. Better off doing Linux from Scratch because then at least you’ll learn something.
